E-commerce turned 15 last year and whilst online shopping has come a long way since 1994, delivery has hardly changed at all.
Although today’s online shoppers can find and purchase virtually anything in seconds, they must still wait day(s) for delivery.
When the package eventually arrives, it does so at a time that suits the courier and not the consumer. Miss it (and over 1/3 of us do) and you must arrange redelivery… miss that and you will find yourself heading out to some remote delivery depot to collect the purchase yourself.
We felt it was about time delivery was brought up to speed and consumers given what they wanted, when they wanted.
